Felines

2002 - 2006

One last image of Hoover, who went to that big catnip (or was it honeydew melon?) patch in the sky (2002).

Argo taking advantage of the cushions in the living room. Argo and Hoover looked very much alike, but Hoover's ears were white, while Argo's were the mackerel tabby. Argo also had a stub tail. (2003)

Argo snoozing on the afghan on the back of my chair in the living room (2003).

Xena taking a nap on the shelf above my computer (which is now inhabited by a flatbed scanner (2003).

Argo would stick his forelimb into the pond beyond the elbow. You can see the water dripping off it in this shot. He never caught any of the goldfish or mosquito fish, but he seemed to enjoy the pond as much as I did (2004).

A last image of Wander, here he snoozes on top of the comforter, just returned from the dry cleaner, after being puked upon by one of the cats. The plastic covering didn't disturb him in the least (2004).

"Well, you set a place for me, didn't you?" (2005)

A common sight - Argo at the back door asking to come back in (2005).

Argo lu-u-u-u-u-u-u-uved Jonathan (2005).

Jonathan taking a post-breakfast nap, with assistance from Argo (2005).

Argo helping me with a snooze on the deck on a lazy afternoon (2005).

Argo arrived at the back door with a lizard in his mouth, and asked to come in to show me his prize. Instead, I went out the other door to get a better shot of Argo and his prize. My presence, without the screen door intervening, seemed to satisfy him and he put the lizard down to examine it. Argo spent the next couple of hours nose-to-nose with the lizard which was doing its best to "get big" and scare Argo off. After a while, Argo got bored and went off to sun himself and the lizard went on its way (2006).

Argo assisting Jonathan in another past breakfast nap. I was amused by the paw resting on Jonathan's head (2006).

Argo offering his nap-assistance service to me (2006).
